I recall reviewing the first book, Pennsylvania Patchwork, but missed out in reading the second installment, Leaving Lancaster. Review of “Forever Amish” by Kate Lloyd This is my first Amish book I have read by Kate Lloyd though I have Amish books by other authors. In this novel, an Englischer named Sally goes to meet an Amish woman named Lizzie who has been emailing her about getting a dog and about having a dilemma. The overriding theme of Forever Amish is forgiveness, asking for and accepting God’s forgiveness, forgiving others and ourselves. Readers will find Kate Lloyd’s latest offering very engaging. It has everything that makes the Amish genre so desirable – romance, mystery, strong family ties, God’s good word, and mouth-watering food descriptions.
